A rapidly-expanding company of North-East financial advisers has announced a restructuring which will allow it to increase its rate of acquisitions.

Carterbar, based in Billingham, Teesside, has taken over four North-East independent financial advisers in the past two years and is constantly seeking more opportunities.

The restructuring, allied to recruitment of more staff, is designed to free up directors Arthur Dornan and Craig Dyball to pursue those potential agreements. Under the new arrangement, Arthur becomes Managing Director, Craig becomes Director of Sales and Marketing, and Financial Planner Suzanne Cox becomes Director of Operations.

Arthur said: “We are a rapidly growing company and these changes will allow myself and Craig to focus much more on developing the business.

“Acquiring other businesses has already helped us grow and we can now investigate other opportunities.”

Craig said: “By altering the way we work, it will be easier to pursue the acquisition opportunities which are vital if the company is to realise its ambitions. We have always said that we want to grow and grow rapidly and these changes make that possibility much more of a reality.”

Suzanne said: “I am delighted to have been made Director of Operations, which means that I can concentrate on the day-to-day running of the business.

“This will allow Arthur and Craig to spend more time looking at future acquisitions, something which we all agree is vital for the future of the business.“

Due to the continuing expansion, Carterbar is also looking to employ more staff.

Arthur Dornan said: “In these times of gloomy economic news, it is great to be able to be creating more jobs in Teesside. Having grown so much in a short space of time, we now need to put a new layer of management in place and are actively looking for an experienced office and compliance manager.”

Carterbar, based at Manor Way, on the Belasis Business Park, in Billingham, has been in business for 13 years. Carterbar's services include advice on mortgages, life assurance, income protection, pensions, investments and medical cover.
